Promote Your Cams.com Shows With Social Media

Social media is one of the most important tools you have to promote your shows and build your brand. While not all platforms are cam model friendly, many performers have luck on Twitter as their terms of service are the most lenient in terms of nudity and promoting adult content. Instagram has far stricter guidelines, but you can still have an account and build your brand so long as you play by the rules.

Here are a few tips to help you set up your social media accounts and start promoting yourself right now.

Create New Accounts Specifically for Your Camming Persona

It can be tempting to just start posting about your cam life on the personal accounts you already have, but if you want to protect your privacy you should create new accounts that don’t link back to your real name or location.

Once your basic account basic account set up is complete, populate your feeds with lots of sexy photos so new visitors have a reason to click that “Follow” button when they stop by your page.

Add Social Media Links to Your Cams Account

Once your social media accounts are ready to go, link them to your Cams.com account so members know where to find you when you are not online.

Here is how to do this:

Once you have an account, log in to your Cams profile and click on Update Bio.

Click on the Social Media button and enter the complete URL to the appropriate social media account.

Please note to put in the entire URL, not just the @. For the above example: http://twitter.com/camsdotcom is the proper information to enter. Same for a Facebook fan page or an Instagram account.

Click Update at the bottom of the page.

Once you are all set up, you can send automatic tweets out to your followers to let them know you are online right from your dashboard. It’s an easy way to bring more people into your room without a whole lot of effort, plus the tweets will include your referral link so you will earn a bonus for every new Cams.com member your bring in.

Here is how to do this:

Click on the Twitter icon in your broadcaster.

A pop-up will appear that contains your referral link. Add a personalized message inviting viewers to your room, then click Tweet to send your message to your followers and turn them into paying members! Using this method will also call out our account @camsdotcom and our 17k plus followers.

Protect Your Identity

Some models don’t create social media accounts because they want to hide their identity, but they also miss out on the opportunity to promote themselves and build a successful brand. It is very possible to be active on social media without ever showing your face and/or real name.

Post photos that only show your body, and set your accounts to private so you control who is able to follow you and see your content. You should also be sure not to post any photos from your model accounts to your personal accounts, as that could potentially lead people right to your true identity.
